...as if we are all one heart
Author of quotation:
Olive Hackett-Shaughnessy, San Francisco, CA The summer conference audience is both the most accepting I have ever met and the most demanding. The latter because they welcome all that can be given, so, in a way, can suck the last drop of sweat off your brow, or the last ounce of marrow in your bones. I have never felt judged nor evaluated in that audience. Rather it is as if we are all one heart and the woman on the stage is one voice for all the women in the audience. When a reading has us laughing in the aisles or weeping, we are grateful for the chance to applaud a writer who has hit us spot on.
