IWWG Panel on Self-Publishing: Self-published authors Batoul Ajlouni, Anne Eston, and Andi Penner lead a discussion, moderated by Cathleen O’Connor, on navigating the publishing industry as an independent author. We’ll be getting real about the many hats we wear as indie authors, including reflection on our experiences as women writers, and invite you to share your lessons learned and triumphs achieved in the process of publishing and promoting your own book.

Moderated by Cathleen O'Connor

Cathleen is a writer, speaker, teacher, coach, and intuitive who offers developmental editing, publishing, book layout, and marketing services to other writers. Books include The Everything Law of Attraction Dream Dictionary, High Heels on the Hamster Wheel - A Fable for the Modern Woman and The Collection: Flash Fiction for Flash Memory. She successfully developed a book launch plan for her 2014 book, 365 Days of Angel Prayers, keeping it at number 1 in its category on Amazon and eventually selling the rights in 2017. She is currently at work on her first romance novel. www.cathleenoconnor.com

Batoul Ajlouni is a writer, and the award-winning author of Ditching Success? She is an architectural engineer by education, a business professional and strategist by experience, and an entrepreneur, artist, hiker and nature enthusiast at heart. Prior to embarking on her writer’s journey, Batoul belonged to the corporate world. She’s a former business executive with thirty years of experience in fifteen of the world’s toughest markets. She co-founded her company at twenty-four, before serving as a senior executive at an IT firm, helping it grow into a multinational corporation. Batoul is now following her heart; exploring life and sharing her findings with those searching for answers, hoping her writing and coaching can help improve people’s lives. Her self-published memoir Ditching Success?: A Career Ventured; A Life Regained has won multiple awards, and is available on Amazon.com.
