Just so everyone knows, I've researched a public transportation option from the Amtrak station in Providence to Roger Williams University. There's a RIPTA bus, #60, which goes from Providence to Newport AND it stops at Roger Williams University on the way. The fare is $2 (exact change); it leaves about every half-hour; and the trip takes about 45 minutes. You catch the bus at Kennedy Plaza, which is ⅓ mile from the train station, an 8-minute walk according to Google Maps (but even if you took a taxi, it would be a lot cheaper) Here's the link to the schedule: https://www.ripta.com/routes/60/
If anyone knows a reason why this is not a viable option, do let me know.
See you at the conference!
